The Passport is their premium range.The Latitude is their mid-high range and offers the best value for money solution for those wanting high end features at reasonable prices.

 

The Latitude range includes their latest unique feature called smartFocus™  which allows you to focus the hearing instruments' microphones and vary the width of the focus. This focus feature is combined with a clarity/comfort adjustment that varies from a setting for maximum speech clarity at one end of it's range, to a comfort setting for a more 'mellow' sound at the other end of it's range. The microphones can be focused from a narrow and very directional setting for when you are in a noisy environment and want to focus on a particular person, to a wider focus when you need to collect sound from all around you.

 

This combination of sharp focus and clarity emphasis is very effective in noisy restaurants or group situations. On the other end of the scale, the wider focus and comfort setting is for those times when clarity is less important and you want a more mellow sound - typically in quieter, less demanding environments or when you are not listening to conversation.

 

The setting is controlled by the onboard computer or you can change it manually by turning a wheel on your remote control. Very useful for someone who is often in varied and difficult hearing situations.


Another exciting feature is their Binaural Phone feature which allows you to hear the phone in both ears even though you are holding the phone to one ear. The signal is transmitted wirelessly to the other ear to allow you to hear in both ears which improves the sound quality and understanding of the telephone conversation. Hearing on the phone is normally one of the main difficulties reported by clients and this is a new, elegant solution.


MyMusic™ - Is a special program utilised for listening to music. It brings out music’s rich tones by shaping Latitude’s frequency response based on clients’ preferences and favorite music genres: rock/pop, classical, jazz/blues or general music listening.

 

The Lattitude range has Bluetooth wireless capability wich allows you to connect to outside Bluetooth compatible products such as cell phones, TV transmitters and home telephones wirelessly. This is done through the uDirect accessory which is hung around your neck and acts as 'go-between' between the hearing aids and external Bluetooth devices. You can also plug your iPod or other audio devices directly into the uDirect to stream music directly into your hearing instruments.

 

Unitron's Smart Control remote control is easy to use and understand. It allows you to override the onboard computer in the hearing instruments to modify the settings of the hearing instrument such as the smartFocus, the volume and programs. Although the hearing instruments are fully automatic and you don't need a remote, the remote is there if you like to control settings yourself. 

 

 


The FUSE™


The Fuse™ is a revolutionary cross between the popular 'open fit' hearing aids and a CIC or completely in the canal hearing aid.

You get all the advantages of open fit hearing aids, but without any parts fitting over the ear. The whole hearing aid fits into the ear canal.

The Fuse is suitable for mild to moderate hearing losses and offers excellent performance in a very discrete package. The Fuse may be the ideal solution for those who want an open fit hearing instrument but find the over the ear type interferes with their glasses.

 

The Fuse also features an                                                         articulating tip which allows the instrument to move according to movements of your ear canal when chewing, etc. Although fully automatic, the Fuse comes with a remote control for manual override if you want to change programs or volume yourself - discreetly.
